Hair Styles for the Copycats

Many women like to copy the hair styles of famous women especially the beautiful actresses in movies, or those who are well-known singers and artists. They like perhaps to imagine that they are as beautiful or as talented as the famous personalities whose hair styles they like to follow. The vain ones like to be mistaken for the famous stars, as when people view them on their back views and mistakenly believe they are the stars themselves. They get extra excited when people commit these mistakes, stirring up the vanity of the hair style copycats no end.

These vain women look up the famous stars that they want their hair stylists to copy from the many magazines the hair styling parlors keep with the latest editions, because they always have women customers who look for these magazines. If the parlors do not have the fashion magazines, some women even shun going inside them and go to other parlors instead. Parlor owners therefore strive to have the latest issues of the fashion magazine, so they do not lose the business of women who like their hair styles to be copied from the hair styles of the famous women.

Aside from the magazines in the parlors, the hair stylists themselves are up to date with the latest hair styles, clipping pictures of the latest who’s who in hair styling among the famous celebrities. An average hair stylist whose job has been in the parlor all the time may not know anything about the war in Iraq, but you can count on her to recite verbatim the names of the famous names in the world of fashion when a client asks for the information. Why, because young women are coming in looking for celebrity styles for their prom hairstyles.

If you as a man also have your haircut done in a parlor (many parlors have now this dual service of a barber shop for men and women) you will get the surprise of your life how the hair stylists in the parlor can be so familiar with the names of foreign personalities. And yet they do not even know the name of the local mayor. They of course reason out that what do they care about local politics, after all their bread and butter depend on what they know of the famous celebrities in the fashion world.

Knowing the names of the local politicians will not earn them the money they need for their families. They are aware that the politicians come around to the parlor only when they are campaigning for votes for the position they seek, as in the case of a candidate for the mayor ship of the city who remembers them only at election time. Some hair stylists even will vote for Oprah Winfrey anytime for mayor of the city; they do not much anyway about the local candidates, but they do know well famous personalities like Oprah. Of course, a hair style copycat supports these views of her hair stylist, especially when they talk about these things during the time the hair stylist works on her hair; she has to agree, lest the hair stylist makes a shabby job on her hair.
